Who we are

What data we collect

None. We do not collect, transmit or store personal data. In particular we do not collect:

• your name, email address, phone number or any other identifying detail;
• your location;
• device identifiers or advertising identifiers;
• usage analytics, heatmaps or session recordings;
• contacts, photos, microphone, camera or other device content — the app never asks for access to any of these.

What stays on your device

The app keeps some information locally only, so that it can work:

• your progress: which levels you have conquered, in which of the three modes;
• your preferences: music and sound effects on or off, chosen language;
• the list of questions you have already seen, so it does not repeat them;
• whether you have bought the full game;
• the game's questions and some audio files, created the first time you open it.

This information never leaves your device: we do not receive it, we cannot see it and we cannot recover it. Uninstalling the app deletes it, along with your progress.

Buying the full game

Roma Aeterna offers a single optional purchase — the full game, paid once — which opens all levels.

The payment does not go through us. It is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), under their own privacy policies. We never see or store your payment details: we have no access to your card number, billing address or name. From the stores we receive only aggregate sales reports, which cannot be traced back to an individual.

On your device the app records only the fact that the purchase happened, so it can keep the levels open. If you change device or reinstall the app, the “Restore purchases” button asks the store to recognise the purchase you already made — that check too happens between your device and Apple or Google, not through us.

Children

The app collects data from nobody, and therefore not from children either. It contains no advertising and no outbound links. The content is Roman history and includes references to ancient wars and political events, treated in an educational way.

Your rights

Under the European GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, correct it and ask for its deletion. Because we collect no personal data, we have nothing to show you, correct or delete. The data that stays on your device is under your control: you can clear it from the app's Settings or by uninstalling the app.

If you believe this policy does not describe reality, write to the address above: we will check and correct it.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects any of this — an online leaderboard, for instance — we will update this page before releasing the new version, and change the date at the top.
